"The Piano Room"

The center of this quilt was a counted cross stitch I had done several years ago. I had it just rolled up and put on a shelf. Then when I started making miniature quilts I wanted to incorporate this cross stitch into a quilt. The overall size of the quilt if 17" x 17". I found some musical themed fabrics that I used for some of the borders. The fourth border out is pieced.
This quilt hangs in my piano room, which has a Victorian/European Tea theme.

  1. That is beautiful! I used to have a baby grand. This would have looked lovely hanging over it. I just looked at the other posts too. You are quite creative at displaying your art. I never thought about making little quilts for centerpieces, etc. Wonderful.

Also, nice that you created a separate blog for displaying your art.

  2. Hi Nina, I see you are just starting out on your blogging journey. You will enjoy it.
Your work is so pretty. I love the one with the piano. My mother was a music teacher and I took a small box-like frame and did the same thing only it was more along the lines of scrapbooking.
Good luck with your new venture.
